Project Description

Manage Integrated Voice Communication Networks (IVCN)

Every U.S. Navy platform depends on the Integrated Voice Communications Network that consolidates several cumbersome devices into a single, multifunction unit while integrating analog and digital technologies. Truestone’s IVCN capabilities include acquisition strategy and systems engineering that leverage Non-Developmental Item (NDI) and Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) technology.

  • Provided engineering and system design support for all voice communications systems
  • Provided systems engineering for SPAWAR, including engineering testing and life cycle support for entire program
  • Integrated new technology and components
  • Programed, designed, and troubleshot circuits to and from the IVCN system
  • Analyzed the IVCN system testing to define malfunctions
  • Provided hardware design, testing of prototypes and evaluation to ensure all new systems were properly integrated into existing system
  • Provided On-The-Job Training to Government force/site personnel
  • Produced Ship Change Documents (SCDs), revisions to SCDs and training documentation as required.
  • Contributed to the development of a scalable system with a user-friendly interface that can access telephones, radios, shipboard announcing systems, sound-powered phones and intercoms, and naval systems including:
    • Shipwide Interior Wireless Communications System (SIWCS)
    • Shipboard Air Traffic Control Communications (SATCC)
    • SCSI Pass Through Interface (SPTI)
    • Battle Force Tactical Training (BFTT)

Truestone has played an integral role in supporting SPAWAR Systems Center Atlantic (SSC Atlantic) in all program phases during the IVCN upgrade program.
