Truestone wins U.S. Army Garrison Walter Reed Mission Operations Center Competitive Award
March 2011 - Truestone, LLC has been awarded a six month 84 contract to support the U.S. Army Garrison Walter Reed Installation Operations Center (IOC) through its Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) Commission-mandated transition period. The award was based on a competitive procurement.
Truestone's support will include:
- 24/7/365 Professional Staff Support for the Installation Operations Center (IOC)
- Strategic, operational, and tactical operations and planning support
- Operations integration and synchronization
- Supporting all Wounded Warrior Quality of Life management activities
- Synchronization of installation BRAC activities including Walter Reed Army Medical Center and tenant organizations' relocation
The U.S. Army Garrison Walter Reed is a unique Army installation in Washington, DC with a mission to exercise area coordination over military and civilian employees assigned to the U.S. Army Garrison Walter Reed. Its diverse tenant organizations include the Walter Reed Army Medical Center (WRAMC), the Warrior Transition Brigade (WTB), and the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology (AFIP), as well as the Mologne House, a 295 room Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) Facility for Wounded Warriors and their family members, three Fisher Houses, and numerous other support facilities and activities all focused on Warrior Care.
